TESSA—Texas Severe Storms Association 2005 Texas Storm Conference.

TESSA will collaborate with the National Weather Service for the Texas Storm Conference. Mr. Gary Woodall, the Warnings Coordination Meteorologist at the NWS Fort Worth will present the first ever Super Storm Spotting Training Session. It is supposed to be the highest level of storm spotter training available ever. Al Moller will present an excellent seminar on the art of hand analysis for tornado forecasting. Dr. Louis Wicker of the National Severe Storms Laboratory will present a session on the role of technology in severe weather forecasting. http://www.tessa.org/meeting.html
Iowa NWA Severe Storms and Doppler Radar Conference.
March 31-April2, 2005. Marriott Des Moines.
A radar meteorology workshop will lead off the conference on Thursday afternoon with chase videos that evening. Case studies of tornado outbreaks will be presented on Friday. Paul Markowski from Penn State University will present the latest theories in tornado formation. http://www.iowa-nwa.com/

John Oldshue has a presentation on the November tornadoes and you will get the opportunity to meet new ABC3340 meteorologist Jason Simpson, as well as the rest of the ABC3340 weather team.
