Storm Update

I'm late posting this. One of our computers is down, so my husband and I are sharing the SLOW computer until we get the other one fixed. On Friday, we had a big thunderstorm move through Rainbow City. It took down a big tree in the lot next to us... the tree also took down our power and telephone lines. Tree landed in our neighbor's driveway across the street. He said he had just moved his truck one hour before. No one was hurt, but no power for about 6 hours and no phone for about 8 hours. My husband was in Gadsden at the time with no action there. It was all in RBC! We are all safe, though, and all of us neighbors got to chat for awhile standing in the middle of the road that one would never do under normal circumstances. Our road has a steep hill.. we live at the top and you stand in the road at your own peril. ;-)
