Video update for today has been posted at

It still looks like another Arctic airmass will be coming into place over the South by Christmas Eve and there will be a low in the Gulf. The position and movement of this low will be critical to whether we might experience a White Christmas or not. I think I said twice on the video update that it is surely going to be an interesting week especially when you consider all of the interest there is in a White Christmas. When you add travel, it will definitely be I N T E R E S T I N G.
I did want to emphasize that I did not look at the European model, but the Canadian model and the GFS were in relatively good agreement on the Christmas eve event. This goes a long way to enhancing our confidence in the forecast. But we live and die by the models, and at that distance into the future, there is plenty of time for changes to come about. Even small changes over the next two or three days could result in major changes down the road.
No, I'm not hedging! This is reality! If the model output is correct, we could see a classic White Christmas in Central Alabama. But that is still a BIG 'if."
