Margie, It's supposed to go into effect in March of 2007 if Bush doesn't veto it. There are good points and bad points to it. A few of the negatives: it will cost the airline industry millions because we'll be off schedule with Europe and landing slots will be off, computer and electrical companies will have to spend millions developing patches for equipment and hardware to offset the change. Guess who's going to pay for those costs?? Also, it will mean children will be standing in the dark for school buses. A few benefits: more light in the evenings, more light on Halloween to keep kids safer and supposedly lower energy costs (I'm not sure I buy this one...the sun will set and lights will have to come on whether you're at work or at home).

Probably more than you wanted to know but that's the long and short of it.
