A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for southwestern Jefferson and eastern Tuscaloosa Counties until 7:45 p.m.
Very strong storms continue from western Jefferson County in the Pleasant Grove area southwestward into eastern Tuscaloosa County 25 miles ENE of the City of Tuscaloosa. This large storm is producing deadly lightning, some hail, torrential rains and strong winds as it moves west at 15 mph.
Additional strong storms have formed along the Jefferson/Walker County line. This activity will affect Sumiton... Dora... Sipsey and Cordova.
