A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect for southeastern Walker County until 8:30 p.m. The activity over Walker County has weakened. The strongest storm is just south of Oakman.
A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect for Tuscaloosa County until 8:50 p.m. A strong storm is straddling US-43 ten miles north of Tuscaloosa.
Activity over Tuscaloosa and Walker Counties is capable of producing potentially damaging winds, deadly lightning and torrential rains as it moves west at about 15 mph.
Outflow from the Tuscaloosa County storm is passing across Fayette County and may fire addiitonal strong storms.
A new area of storms has formed from southern Blount County southwestward into northeastern Jefferson County. This activity will also move west.
All other activity over North Alabama has diminished.
