Gosh, I see almost no one taking this thing seriously in North Alabama. After the big Dennis bust no one is acting. I talked to several people today and out of everyone I talked to almost no one expected anykind of bad weather here. It's pretty scarey really, but I don't see people here paying much attention. Everyone says "It's hitting New Orleans isn't it?" I tell them yes, but it's coming north after that!

It's because of the way Dennis fell apart and did not impact the Birmingham area after warnings of tropical storm force winds.

I am telling you, this will be on par with Ivan, especially in west Alabama-I really believe that once over land Kat is going to track further east than the NHC forcast.
