As always 33/40 is on the cutting edge of broadcast journalism. You can also watch the live feed at WWLtv.com. The news anchors at WWLtv are doing an outstanding job bringing the unvarnished news and images out of New Orleans and other parrishes.

Just thought I'd offer a little tid-bit:

KFI-AM here in the Los Angeles area ran a fundraiser for hurricane victims between 3pm and 10pm on Thursday. Something like $250,000 was donated by 7pm. I hear they cleared $300,000 by 10pm, but haven't heard a final tally just yet.

Charter could if they want to. I'm anxious to see myself if Charter comes through.

We have made a request to Charter to provide this as a public service this afternoon... I do not think we have a repsonse yet from them.

Comcast and Bright House immediately gave us a positive response... we hope Charter follows along. This is a great public serive to our friends from Louisiana and Mississippi!

I'll be surprised if Charter comes through with this. I'm sorry but I dont put alot of stock into Charter. Too big for their own good in my opinion but it's the only choice I have. :(

James, what you are doing is a Godsend. Tell the folks at Charter to do the right thing, and help these people reconnect with their city.

I have always appreciated how your web updates have kept me informed on Alabama weather, while I've been out of state. These people need their local station to let them know what is happening. Kudos to you and 33/40 for doing this.
