Seventeenth Time This Year!

Here we go for the seventeenth time this year! The National Hurricane Center issued the statement below at 7:20 am CDT on the newly developing tropical depression east of the Windward Islands. If this should develop in a tropical storm - and there is reason to believe it will - it will be named Philippe.

SATELLITE IMAGERY THIS MORNING INDICATES THAT THE VIGOROUS TROPICAL
WAVE ABOUT 370 MILES EAST OF BARBADOS HAS BECOME BETTER ORGANIZED
AND THAT A TROPICAL DEPRESSION IS FORMING. THE FIRST ADVISORY ON
THE SYSTEM...POSSIBLY INCLUDING WATCHES OR WARNINGS FOR PORTIONS OF
THE LESSER ANTILLES...WILL BE ISSUED AT 11 AM AST...1500Z.

AN AIR FORCE RESERVE HURRICANE HUNTER AIRCRAFT WILL INVESTIGATE THIS
SYSTEM THIS AFTERNOON.

Brian, Phillipe is here. TD 18 is here and is forecast to be Rita and a Category 4 near the Keys wednesday and a 5 when it hits the Gulf. Of course track all depends on the High approaching from Texas, but some say it might affect Texas or Western Louisiana. Any thoughts on the GFDL? Or other models? Which model do you have the greatest confidence in? We still have guys in Grand Isle La through next weekend.
