Alabama Tonight--8:50 pm Update

Thanks to Rita some parts of Alabama received beneficial rains this afternoon and this evening. The heaviest amounts were over the SW and West Central Kansas.

At 8:50 pm, there were some scattered light showers from the Greater Birmingham area and into NW Alabama.

The heavier showers were over the SW part of the state.

Everything moving NW.

A good chance of showers and thunderstorms Sunday and Monday.

Lots of places need rain.

Nathan...
We just gotta get you some rain.

Even if we have to bring it in by tanker truck and use a huge sprinkler to rain over your rain gage!

Nothing here yet... UGH!!! This is the worst dry spell in recent memory. I've had essentially nothing since Katrina, and I didn't get much then! This is going to be the ugliest Fall ever if we don't get some rain -- many of the native trees are dropping leaves around here already with little to no color.
