The morning video is on the server at ready for viewing:

A clipper system has pushed come clouds into the state this morning. Some echoes are showing up on radar, but nothing is reaching the ground due to the very dry air in place. So much for the "partly to mostly sunny" forecast for now.
We should be back in some sunshine later today as this fast moving system moves on to the east.
Clouds will be variable over the next few days, but the system to watch is the one coming in here this weekend. The vigorous clipper will dig deep into the southeast U.S. on Saturday and Sunday, but will be rather starved for moisture. It will bring some light rain Saturday, and a few snow flurries or showers Saturday night into Sunday. I have mentioned a dusting for places over 1,000 feet across northeast Alabama, mainly in Jackson, Dekalb, and Cherokee counties.
This kind of thing looks a little spooky; almost like a cold core upper low situation Saturday night into Sunday, so we will surely keep an eye on it. Sunday will be blustery and cold day with temperatures in the 30s and a strong north wind. Will be interesting to watch the 12Z GFS run; we will feature that one in the afternoon video later today.
