Thanks for all the updates JB. This is what I like about our weather. Its like watching a good action or supsence movie. It keep you on the edge of your chair watching to see what is about to happen next. I think you all did a good job at calling it again. But I'm sure you will find out later when you hear from your other critics. ha,ha. Keep up the good work, tell Ms. Molly hello.

I live in St Clair County and i was wondering if the front has already passed through here. My hubby works night shift and i hate being by myself during bad weather. Do you think it is over for us besides light rain and maybe a little thunder? Thanks a bunch for all you guys do. And i agree with Tammy i will be glad to see this kind of weather gone for a while. I am ready for snow LOL.

It is 53.1 here by my admittedly cheap atomic clock that records indoors and outdoors. The radar looks like not much more is going to happen in Birmingham. I don't want severe weather, but was hoping for a little more rain to reduce the deficit. According to my also cheap rain gauge, we've had almost exactly 1/2 inch. Does anyone have any info on what the current deficit is?

Ladies, as far as any bad severe t'storms no. Since the cold front has passed the temps. will continue to fall...air has stabalized more now. Just watching Mr. Oldshue, could still have hail, which in itself is not fun, but NO tornados.

Still some strong storms moving ENE across North and Central Alabama. But to answer two questions, I believe the danger of severe has lessened in St. Clair County and also around the Birmingham-Tuscaloosa area. The cold front has now passed those areas.

However, many of the stronger storms will still produce pea-size hail. At 5 pm, the temperature was:

41 in Decatur, Huntsville and Cullman
42 in Muscle Shoals
48 in Fort Payne
51 in Birmingham
52 in Gadsden
35 in Nashville
72 in Alexander City
73 in Montgomery

Quite a contrast
