Coldest Morning In Nearly A Year

From the NWS in Huntsville... who also told us they found that over the last 20 years, every time we drop below 20 degrees before December 15...we get at least flurries on Christmas. Nice coincidence!

My truck doors were frozen shut also, Stephanie... I couldn't even get my key in to unlock it! My cheap thermometer said it was 25 this morning.

Yep, the old Dogde van sliding door was frozen shut..Hubby took the newer Pontiac to have brakes put on..how I missed it! Anyway my reliable digital thermometer registered a low of 23.5 and frost was very heavy all over! Bundle up tonight!

I am very grateful for my garage this morning. I moved into my home a couple of months ago, and that was the thing I think I was most excited about!!

Watching Fox news, I have some info. Let's forget the snowdance. They had a list of things that kids do to try to get snow up north, and here is a small list.
Sleep with a spoon under your pillow.
Sleep with your pajamas on backwards.
Or, sleep with your pajamas on inside out.
Flush ice cubes down the toilet. Repeat many times.

Hehehe. Funny what kids will do. But, have to say it worked for them. Just thought I would add a little humor to your day.

oh too funny heather - i say if it worked for them, it wont hurt for us to try!!! LOL

now, my oldest son not only sleeps with his p.j.'s on backwards, he sleeps with them inside out too!! (please note, he doesn't even have to try to remember to do this so this little task for bring in the snow is already covered.)

My doors were frozen shut too. I finally gave up and went in the passenger door. We (Black Creek Fire Dept) had a house fire at 7:30 this morning and we created a bunch of ice there.
