Most of USA Shivering

A computer analysis shows that 81 percent of the land area in the USA has temperatures freezing or lower this morning. And, this is not even counting Alaska.

This was using 7 am reports and only the stations that report each hour.

At 7 am, the range was from 26 below zero at Gunnison, Colo., to a warm 76 at Marathon, Fla.

7% of the country had zero or lower at 7 am.

My doors on my truck were frozen shut again this morning. My thermometer said it was only 31.4 at 6:00 this morning in Jacksonville. It might be off a little.

Chris...
I doubt if your thermometer is off. The official low at Anniston Airport through 6 am was 32. Also, metal chills faster than air at night.

Appreciate your report, as well as the others on this posting.

To answer all of your questions. I am only offering my opionion. You guys get so worked up, like I am attacking you. Then, you progress into personall attacks on me. THis is crazy;; I am simply debating the accuracy of some recent forcast. Is anyone with me on this or am I the only one out there. If your with me, please support my argument by making a post. Lets hope for snow,, hopefully it will happen this year, but stop the personal attacks if I happen to debate or express my opinion.

wow greg, Debating or attacking.. Which is it you are doing. I understand missing a forcast and trying to interperate the models, but you have went beyond debating....in your post this morningyou stated

" Look, there will always be a chance of everything in weather. Nothing is certain. All I am saying is that all the other TV stations never mentioned this, so to me they called it more accuratly than ABC3340 on this one. In fact, in James afternoon discussion he admitted it was a busted forcast. Cant argue with James admitting it was a bust, can we?? I will continue to watch James and suppot him, but I am a little more cautious now. "

To me this is a personal attack on james, and On the Abc3340 weather team... I have no problem with debating, but dont say you are debating when you are attacking..I give you the bene of the doubt and believe that you just phrased it wrong, which people took as an attack... We all make mistakes..and trying to interperate weather based on these models, but we dont go out and try and point out these "Busts"..... I am not trying to debate or attack you in any way..I dont even know you , but you cant understand why all these people are making posts against you , I am trying to explain why.. I am not saying it is right... And I am not saying that I wont crack on you from time to time... I have , but I am not going to aattack you personally in regards to the job you do....
