Late Afternoon Note

The 18Z run of the GFS is in... and HOPE is back in a big way. A major storm Tuesday of next week now is back on the GFS in the northern Gulf with winter storm potential for PARTS of the deep south. Way to early to be specific... but Hope is NOT lost! This is the solution I expect. And, expect more model flips and flops in the days ahead, but we stay the course.

More later...

Here is a Graphic I made for HOPE's setup for Tuesday:

As you can see cold air will be in place behind the Low and could bring some wintery precipitation to parts of the south.

Here's flip-flop one. I'll bet the model picture Sunday looks NOTHING SIMILAR to what it does today.

Nevertheless, despite my innate skepticism and a 97% historical disappointment rate.... I will still keep an opened mind.

Anyway, I sure hope it happens.

We have had winters like this for the past 3 years and James Spann will tell you that there is a chance that will snow just to up the ratings. TV is all about the RATINGS.

i hate warm weather on christmas, i would at least like for it to be cold, and snow on or before christmas would be wonderful.

I just love the naming of the storms James. Thats neat. Oh, and during the Spring time James, I hope you are not talking & teaching us about tornados just to make us watch tv and put your ratings up, even though we may or may not have them to occur. Can you all read between the lines for the sarcasism in this for one of the above notes? (is this why you want me to do the talking at the Galleria Rusty? I can put away some hot chocalate.) Rusty, you are one of the greatest buddy.

he did call the storm "hope". so i hope that model run is right. i would want some snow here. i live in Tuscaloosa and the last snow "storm" we had here was just enough to get the grass white at night, it was all gone by in the morning

Ok people , lets calm sown at look at this with some logic...

Now first of all , we all know that it is not likely that we will se a big snow storm, because of Climatology here in the south, however, neither was last years Hurricane Season, yet we were amazed at the curve ball mother nature threw at us there... Now we can bicker , and argue about the weather..whether or not it will do anything... Now Josh you have done a great job with all your postings... A+ for you .... Greg, Andy, thanks for keeping our feet on the ground, stephanie, thanks to you and Michael for all the dancing..Dave get the pot of Chilli ready, I believe IWIWAM has doubled over the past week or so..... Steve, thanks for , well giving us a comedy relief..... Like James would ever do anything to hipe ratings.. Come on ..we can have fun without making personal attacks..I thought we covered this in Bloggers 101.....JOhn T... Prepare those liveshot speaches... I am expecting James to call anytime now ..HAHAH not ..... and Goldwing dave..You need to get with Steph and make sure you have the right music to Play for her Dancing...

Man its getting interesting... I may just wait here for the 00 run....
