Update - 2:00 pm

...went down to the Talladega National Forest near Mt. Cheaha on Saturday morning at about 11:00 A.M....there on Kentuck Mountain I found very heavy icing in all of the trees with all of the younger, newer pine trees all bowed over. A little later on Duck Nest Spring Road, two large pine trees were down across the road. The wind was gusting to about 30-35 kts. and was causing large clumps of ice to fall from the treetops, some of which could definitely cause harm to an unwary individual. The higher elevations (1000 ft. and up) looked like a whitewashed picket fence....ice was everywhere in the trees....lower ground cover seemed to be only mildly affected....
