Man Struck by Lightning

It happened at 7:15 this evening 5 miles NE of Vance in Eastern Tuscakoosa County.

The 20-year old man is in stable condition at a local hospital.

UPDATE ON THE STORMS

The Severe Thunderstorm Watch no longer in effect for Jefferson and surrounding counties. Strongest storms have noved over into East Alabama.

Well the storms came in but they were weak the rain I got from the line is only 0.25.

Good to hear the gentleman struck by lightning is in stable condition . That was a heck-of-a-storm . Just imagine if it were not Feb. .

It's official. La Nina' is here. Atlantic Hurricane season is more active during La Nina', but it is still too early to tell, although at the conference in Atlanta, where NWS changed the Fujita scale beginning in 2007, some thinking was the Atlantic Season will even be more active than predicted by Dr. Gray and Phil Klozbatch.
