NAM Snow Output

Here is a detailed look at the NAM forecast of accumulated snow for Monday morning at 9:00 a.m.:

The odds of that actually being correct are small. This is simply model output, but one of the purposes of this blog is to share our thought process and let you see what goes on around here.

The 12Z GFS is coming in and there are some differences, as you might expect. Lets not try to get too specific at this point, but just be aware that accumulating snow is possible over parts of North or Central Alabama Monday morning. I will be much more specific tomorrow morning before church.

And, like I stressed below, this is a fast moving system and temperatures will be above freezing for much of the day. Not a long term problem at all, but this could very well impact some school systems and businesses Monday morning. Stay tuned...

That's what I'm screamin'! I really don't think this is the snow we've been dreaming about. It's a good start, though! And yes, Stephanie, I'll dance if you think it will help!

I am going to church with my PJ's on backward tomorrow evening...LOL. But, truly, I hope the line comes a bit further south too, Stephanie, my town is right on the line in Walker County. Snowdancing to the bathroom now to flush the ice cubes...LOL.

I'm dancing and anybody who wants to join is welcome. We need all the help we can get.
In the meantime, I will put a silver spoon under everyone's pillow, I am still in my pj's (yes I really did go to Bruno's like this LOL!!) but will turn them inside out and wear them backwards later............ LOL

Nice to know that someone else "bums" around on Sat. in their PJ's too!! After 4 hours of studying and several more to go, the likely hood of changing anytime soon is minimal!! Comfort is KEY!! :)

Snowing at Ober Gatlinburg as I type this. The web cams up there are looking very white. This stuff needs to come South in a big time way. Everything that has been put on here has been in reference to Birmingham, but what about places like Anniston, Gadsden and Pell City????
