Daniel,

The Temp hear in Trussville is now 30.5F.
The dewpoint is slowly starting to rise.
The dewpoint is now at 18.3 which is up than it was.
I realy hope that the moisture will not move in real fast, this could, as you said, bring the temp up a bit but it looks a little more promising if the precip moves in it will fall as snow and stick to the ground.
However, The soil temp is at 34.1F, if the air temp stays below freezing for several hours, then it could bring the soil temp down, and stick to the road, I hope!

I DO NOT WANT TO GO TO SCHOOL
ON MONDAY!!!!

Does anyone agree?

Kenny are you in jr. , high , or college school ? Its good to see the school age kids interested in the wx and on the blog . And yes the blog on my end is slow also . Not trying to be a smarty , but for the other wx gooroos, why do we keep posting the advisories when we know what they are . As for the current conditions go I enjoy reading them .

Not exactly true, John. I am a student at UAB and they simply cancel class--No makeup required. For public schools in Alabama, they have those "weather days" reserved to burn. The only thing that gets me is how low the temp already is in Birmingham. I've got 35 degrees here in Mountain Brook.

The winter wx advisories , not the current conditions , that was not meant for you Kenny , you just keep posting what you have been and glad to see & have you on the blog sir, espically a 9 th grader . So glad that some of you grade school people are into the wx . You also Brandon though you are at UAB , good to hear some are still going to collage . And Kenny just F.Y.I. I would not post my EXACT location , just Trussville . As Stephanie would tell you , you never know what possible "bad nuts" could also be on the blog . Even though you seem to be a rather smart young man , just not a good idea . ( word to the wise buddy )

John T.

The location I am telling everybody is not where I live, it is the nearest intersection nearest to where I live, about .35 mile away.
I think telling everybody intersections is a great reference point so people can get an idea what the temp is in that area.

Note: The wind direction has shifted to SSW averaging 1 MPH, but still. The dewpoint is rising, the temp is staying down!

lol...I love how threats of winter weather bring about rumors of school closings! My best advice is for everyone to prepare to be at school (meaning do your homework, study for tests, etc.). Wake up at 6 am and check the status of your school then. I already have a hunch that UAB would not cancel classes even if there were snow and ice all over the place. That school will hold class during the rapture!
