Hope you get a really good nights sleep tonight! It's thundering..again..in my corner! Miserable day, weather wise..the birds have camped out at my feeder! How's the temps on the western side of the front..warmer or colder?

While I'm thankful that we didn't have a snow event... I now turn to nightfall.

What are the odds all this rain freezes overnight (the stuff on the ground not in the air)?

Will it stay cold long enough tonight to cause ice problems?

I'm beginning to get more concerned about the roads first thing in the morning unless really dry air comes in...it's still raining here in Cullman County!

Wow, a couple of rumbles of COLD thunder here in Helena. Sends a chill through my bones. A good day to snuggle down, but alas the kids will be home from school soon. Be careful out there. Nice little downpour now as I type. Stay warm...Bring on some snow (on my off days, please)

Hail here in Bluff Park, too... but small and only for a few moments. It seems mostly done now, though we've got some rumbling thunder.

Here in northern Helena, towards Bessemer, we had a minute or so with some small hail. Lasted no more than a minute, but was coming down hard enough to temporarily whiten the pavement. Melted very quickly. Some thunder and lightning as well.

Weather in Alabama-go figure. 24 hours ago, we were talking accumulating snow, now we are talking thunderstorms, hail and flooding rains.:)

Hey, Steph! I know what you mean about watching what you wish for (that is why I said on my off days). I am cooking chili at work tomorrow. Maybe that will help?

Chili would help, or some veggie soup (no meat)

I will be enlisting in some help from the neighborhood kids as well - flushing ice cubes, backwards inside out jammies, and spoon under the pillow.

hmmmmm....... veggie soup........... :)
