exactly John... I dont know if they are EVER going to try and solve the problem. They need to deepen and widen village creek near brooklane drive, it is simply WAY to small to hold all the water when it floods. People have went to the county about it but its the same crap they said 10 years ago. Its been 2 years since floodwater last got in my house, so hopefully that streak will continue!!!! (P.S. its the most disgusting water you could imagine)

Jared,

You should go to BestBuy's website and search for weather stations.
I got WS-2310 by Lacrosse technology, bought at best bu.
Works very well.
If it is not on sale, then it should be around $200 Vs. the new Vantage Pro2.

Just checked my guage at 7:30pm both read 2.5" sure seems like it would be more. Water standing in the yard at dark, creek and pond to the rim. My temp at 6 AM was 38, highest I saw all day was 42, it flucuated though.

Kenny, that address is technically in Clay, but most folks call that Chalkville or edge of Center Point.

I live in an area tucked between Blount 1.5 miles to the N and about 2 blocks to the E of St. Clair. I'm in Jefferson County in Clay.

Neat idea to have everybody list location. Thanks!

Debby,

That intersection I tell everybody is the closest intersection to my house. That intersection as you said is in clay but, where I live is to the East. If you were to go to my house, then take a few feet to the East, then you are in Trussville, so I call it Trussville.

Jared,

Try to get a job at Windixie in Trussville.
My brother works there and he loves it.
He has been working there since we have moved.
If you work in the meat dept. then you get paid a lot more, however, you must be 18 to work in the meat dept.

Jared , I just got my La Crosse Wireless Wx St. today . I got from Cabelas.com . Choose GIFTS then WEATHER . They have several different types ranging from simple to very high tech . Mine is on sale for $199.00 . Now I just need a desent , mild day to put it up . Just as long as I get it up & going before March . Yes, I am one of those weird , crazy , spring severe wx. glued to the wx persons . About your flooding situation , I listen to Hueytown Pol. ALL the time , so I know without seeing how bad it gets . One of those 'act of congress' problems I understand .

Kenny , the only thing about Jared working in Trussville is GAS . He would be spending his paycheck on that alone . We are on the other side of the county you know . LOL . I could give him a sugestion also , but he might shoot me afterwards of being there for a while. But it would be a desent palce to start .
