Late Morning Notes...

Not surprising; the 12Z model runs are coming in colder.

The new NAM MOS has us holding in the mid 30s all day Saturday, in line with our forecasts. I also must point out that MOS product has us dropping to 29 degrees early Sunday with some light freezing rain.

There is growing concern here about ice accumulation on exposed objects over the northern quarter of the state during the day Saturday, north of U.S. 278, or north of a line from Hamilton to Cullman to Gadsden.

I will have a full post around by 2:30 p.m....

Let's pray the ice stays north of the Magic City. Too bad these rain and ice events couldn't be snow. Oh what a time we could have. Such is Life!!

My Snow Bunny does not want Ice but I do watching the winter olympics has got me fired up about getting the sled out. I am still using my new philosophy about the upcoming WINTER STORM 2006 , it will not happen this weekend. I loved the year we had freezing rain first then snow because it made for the best sledding! Let It snow!

I don't want ice either but someone needs to tell the weather channel they are out of there minds. They don't have us this cold.
