The NWS Birmingham has cancelled the Winter Weather Advisory for Central sections of the state.

BUT... Very hazardous driving conditions contnue tonight across much of North Alabama and driving is strongly discouraged. Read down for an earlier post detailing some reports from ALDOT and various emergency management agencies.

Some light freezing drizzle could still occur overnight and cause a few slick spots, so check road conditions before heading out tonight or in the morning and use caution when driving.

I-22 in Marion County is very icy on the bridges and overpasses, with some accidents beginning to take place.

Down to 19 degrees F already in Huntsville...hmmm...was it forecast to go that low?
