A Good Start on 2006 Rainfall

Sunday's all-day rain in the Birmingham area brought the February total to 8.70 inches

This brought the 2006 total to 14.67 inches which is a healthy surplus of 5.52 inches.

If the faucet was suddenly cut off and we did not get another drop, we would still show a surplus for the year until March 26.

Montgomery received close to three inches Sunday bringing their total for the year to 9.66--a slight deficiency!

If you were to look up "rainy day" in Uncle Websters, it would surely say, "see February 25, 2006 in Alabama."

Taking a half-mile walk with Little Miss Molly this afternoon, I have never seen the visibility any sharper or clearer. The Old Crow Motel had a majestic look--standing out sharp and clear.

So goes life...

Personally, I think it would say Feb. 25, 2006, not March 25...unless it is better at prognosticating than you are! ;)

Just out feeding the outdoor pets. It feels great now, but this morning...FRIGID!!
Temp was 32.6 the first time I went out, down from 33.3 when I first got up. But it felt way, way colder...
Uncomfortable even with a jacket. The wind was so strong I had to bring the wind chimes in to stop them blowing against the house.

For 30+ years it was then it dissappeared from the market for several years...so we migrated to Maxwell House...and now to Folgers...we like all of those.

Hope you got to ride the Goldwing some this afternoon!

I see the temp has already dropped to 36 in cullman and 37 here in cherokee county. Anybody else think we may have widespread teens away from the city, with some dewpoints between 0-10 or will the high allready have some better moisture in here before sunrise?

We finally had a droughtb bustin' rain here in North texas this weekend. Just over 4 inches. First time we've had a rain over an inch in over 7 months here. We thank the Lord for it! The most beautiful "bluebird" day here in quite a while today. High was 62, light wind, not a cloud in sight! Bless you all in Alabama

I won't be at all surprised if it makes the teens tonight with this unbelievably dry air. I currently have 31.8° with a dewpoint of 9.5°

JB, I would have loved to have been out on the bike today, but I switched shifts with a co-worker and had to work 130p-11p so there was no time for riding. I see tuesday is suppose to be near 70 so I am thinking albeit cold in the morning at 6am, it will feel good riding home at 3. I hope.

It was bad weather in Destin yesterday too!! Today was beautiful..I left my in laws in Fort Walton and went across Okaloosa Island into Destin to pick up my daughter at my mothers. The Gulf looked like crystal with the sun sparkling off the waves. Choctawhatchee bay had white caps in it from the north wind blowing.... Lots of traffic too. I DON'T miss those days ;).

I love it, Margie. In-laws and mother and daughter and three locations in one this-is-life sentence.
Life is complicated but grand. I would have loved to see the gulf today....
