High Risk Upgrade

We now have a high risk for today across a part of the central plains:



Will be interesting to watch this unfold later today...

I noticed that the SPC mentioned that part of tomorrow's moderate risk area migh need to be upgrade tomorrow. This is getting scary.

JB or James, I was wondering if oyu guys had anyway of sending out the radar of what it looked like during the super outbreak in 74'... I would love to see what that thing looked like... thanks

Yes Jamie! That would ROCK! I've always wanted to see radar output from that event (I've seen satellite data). Surely there has to be some old WSR-57 images somewhere.

I have talked with the NWS in B'ham last night and the guy that talked to me told me that the threat of a high risk area on Friday is not out of the question. I it will be very cool to see what happens.

Looks like the latest SPC Day One Outlook (as of 11:23) hows the high risk area has expanded southward.
