How anyone could think this event was a bust after seeing these pictures is nuts. It wasn't as bad as feared but I don't consider it a bust. There were a number of warnings issued and the storms that blew through here sounded quite fierce. I wasn't going outside to check (that's what the ABC 33/40 crew is for). I'm just glad no one in AL was seriously hurt. We are fortunate that the smart, weather-conscious people outweigh the nuts around here.

It certainly looks like it could've been a tornado. Seems like if it was straight line winds then it would've been more widespread. I dont know...just a thought. If you look at the K-Mart in Gardendale there is a valley that runs down to the right next to the Methodist Church....It looks like a tornado dropped down right there. I'll try to get a pic up
