A few showers are occurring over West Alabama this morning.
Moderate showers are over Fayette, Lamar and Pickens Counties, with lighter showers down into reene County.
Other lighter showers are over Cullman and Winston Counties.
More showers are over the Northwest corner of the state.
The activity is moving north northeast.
Regional radars show more showers to the west of Alabama over Mississippi closer to a trough of low pressure.
Clouds are thicker this morning over the area.
Additional showers and storms will form during the day, mainly over the western half of Alabama. From Birmingham east, activity should be scattered and any showers that do form will not last very long.
It should be fairly typical City Stages weather with just a slight chance of a shower or storm through early evening, but nothing that will dampen the music festival.
