Triple Digits

The official high at the Birmingham Airport today was 100. As best we can tell, the last time we hit 100 (or higher) was on August 29, 2000... almost six years ago!

We were two degrees shy of the record today (102 in 1933), and 11 degrees above the average high of 89.

Whew..

Was a scorcher at my house near the Summit. Hit 100.7 degrees this afternoon.

Hot in Helena also. 100.4 for my high today at 1:59 pm. But the nearby showers have cooled things down about 15 degrees - right after I finished mowing. Of course, no rain at my house - just thunder - that's two days in a row now with just thunder.

Yeah, Brian, same at my house. Just heard a lot of thunder yesterday (with a dark sky), but no rain. Some thunder this afternoon, too, but this time, we're getting a much needed shower with it.
