This is an invitation to be one of the first to use WeatherParty.com
This is a new "web 2.0" site developed by ABC 33/40 and The Weather Company giving you the power to determine which weather stories and data is highlighted on the site.
I can't count the number of times I send a cool weather related link to my associates via e-mail or an instant message. We want you to share those cool weather links with the world. It might be a radar image, a tornado warning, a story about weather on a news site, something to do with broadcast meteorology or the National Weather Service, or just about anything else weather related.
Users will vote on the links submitted, and the links with the most votes get bumped to the front page.
If you have ever used digg.com, this is very similar, but instead of technology news, we want weather news, images, and data.
All you have to do to submit links is register, and it won't take more than a minute or so.
WeatherParty.com is in the BETA phase, so you might see a few bugs along the way; we are working through those now.
For the site to work, we need lots of users to submit links and vote on them.
So, be one of the first to the PARTY.
