At 8:40 tonight, a few strong storms were moving south near the Alabama/Mississippi border.
In Alabama, the strongest storm was over South Pickens County passing south of Aliceville.
Just over the border in Mississippi, a strong storm was over south Lowdnes County...some 15 miles south of Columbus. The NWS issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for that storm until 9 pm.
