How Alabama Looks at 8:40 pm

That line of thunderstorms moved on down into Central Alabama and greatly diminished. However, a leftover rain area extends from Talladega and Clay County northward to Guntersville and Fort Payne.

Meanwhile, we are watching another line of thunderstorms that extends from North Mississippi up across Middle Tennessee and moving toward the SE. The thunderstorms along the Mississippi-Tennessee border have grown stronger.

The SPC has posted a slight risk overnight as far south as the Tennessee River in Extreme North Alabama.

A few additional rainfall amounts:

1.54 inches at Alexander City
1.24 on Rex Lake Road (Leeds area)
0.07 at Alabaster
3.00 (almost) between Garden City and Blountsville

North of Guin in Marion County, AL, we can see the almost continuous lightening to our northwest and the Mississippi storms are a good ways away from us. We had some rain this afternoon and we needed it. Just wondering if this line will hold together?
