Are the storms producing damaging winds or are the warnings mainly due to hail?

I lost my power for about a minute. If the thunder gets any louder, I'm going to have to put in my ear plugs...just kidding. Even Ginger (dog) is awake. It is pouring here. And the lightning is terric.

terric...meant terrific, but could also mean terror. It is raining *very* hard. And the lights keep blinking. I've got my 10 D battery operated thing here with a mini TV, weather radio, lantern, flashing light, thing that we got cheap because it was a reconditioned item. I was about to go to bed. I have to have electricity to sleep...sleep apnea with a CPAP machine. Electricity is on for now.

Anyone who lost their CPAP or BiPAP machines in Hurricane Katrina or Hurricane Rita should check out the information on Awake In America's website at http://www.AwakeInAmerica.org/Katrina/. The organization, a national non-profit focused on sleep and sleep disorders, has a program called Operation Restore CPAP to replace equipment lost or destroyed in either of the hurricanes.

Hi John B. Thanks. It settled down for about 5 minutes, but here she comes again. Very loud thunder, lightning and heavy rain in RBC with the lights blinking. I hope the power stays on.

It's been a long time since supper and my stomach is growling. I forgot to ask my sales person if lightning could come in on me while I am wearing my mask for my CPAP machine. Plus, it has a humidifier with water in it. I'm a little afraid to put it on now. And, if I sleep without it, I stop breathing 36 times per hour. Not good for the heart. It's calming down again, but still thundering and lightning. Hopefully, it's moving further away.

Well, this old gal has got to go to bed. If you hear of someone getting fried by lightning and their CPAP machine, it'll be me. (just kidding).
