From Panama City

More incredible reader images... these are from Kevin Burns in Decatur, who writes:

I captured these pictures at the beginning of August at Panama City Beach (actually on the beach across from the Laguna Beach Christian Retreat Center).  It was a beautiful sight to see the sun setting in the west and a rainbow in the east.  We were actually at the beach at that moment to baptize a few kids in our youth group in the ocean.  You couldn’t have asked for a better setting.

Beautiful Pics for sure.

On another note, I wish the 33/40 news department was as "up to the minute" as this blog is. In case any of you look at 33/40 news webpage, you have no idea that the man arrested for abducting/carjacking/ and worse, a Birmingham Lawyer last spring has escaped prison.
33/40 has nothing about it..... nbc13 has nothing about it.... but if you want up to the minute info about it, go to www.myfoxal.com they are doing an excellent job of covering it and getting it posted on the web. James, Im sorry for pushing another station here, but your webmasters need to get on the ball.

Beautiful Pictures BTW! Looks like a scene I painted while visiting PCB years ago!

I cannot believe that guy that kidnapped the lawyer and did all kinds of dreadful things to her has escaped prison!

I know Steph, its hard to believe. I hope they catch him soon, and this time, not let him out of their sight. Solitary confinement would be a good place.

Thanks for posting those awesome shots. I've been to that retreat center. I like the Laguna Beach area by PCB. It is quieter than PCB.

PCB...still amazes me how long it can take you just to drive down the strip after 5 p.m. Laguna Beach was much quieter...though that whole area has developed so much it's hard to truly get 'away' from the crowd anymore. Still, the beach itself was not too crowded down on that end.

I have never been to Panama City, Laguna Beach or Panama City Beach in my "short" life. Woe is me.

JB, if you ever get the chance, go to Laguna Beach. It really is something else! We used to stay in a house across the road, and as teens my father had no problem with us walking all over the place. It is really nice! PCB is just crazy traffic not missing much at all there :)

Hey why the negativity? What do the news pages have to do with the weather blog? Why not just email someone from the news page and make suggestions? I just don't believe this blog should be used for complaints like that. James and Brian and the others can't help it if the news people don't do their job as well as they do so please don't put that negativity here. Thanks!
