Nice to get a little sleep...
Been studying lots of maps and charts this morning.
*SPC has defined a severe weather threat on Monday for most of Alabama, and points west:

*I get the idea the greatest severe weather weather threat for north-central Alabama will come from about 9:00 p.m. Monday through 8:00 a.m. Tuesday.
*Seems like the greatest chance of a significant tornado outbreak will be west of the state. Monday evening really looks rough for places like Jackson and Memphis. The best dynamics will be lifting away from Alabama after midnight, but we still have the potential for severe storms and heavy rain. I get the idea will be burning the midnight oil again Monday night into Tuesday morning.
*We also still are concerned about the possibility of flooding. Latest QPF map has a bullseye of 4.6" of rain over the next five days right over Birmingham!

Brian Peters will have a video update posted later today, and of course Bill Murray will update the discussion and forecast product...
