6 O'CLOCK LOOK

Tornado Watch continues till 11 tonight all the way from NE Texas to the Alabama border. Includes such cities as Texarkana, El Dorado, Shreveport, Monroe, Greenville, Greenwood, Tupelo, Columbus, Starkville.

Two lines of thunderstorms in progress at 6 pm. The leading line extends from East Central Arkansas, near the NW edge of Mississippi, SW to east of Shreveport.

The second shorter line is from SW Arkansas into NE Texas.

Not much lightning in these storms yet as they are just getting cranked up. They will be moving east.

No showers at all in Alabama at 6 pm, as the atmosphere remains capped.

Headed to the big bed for a power nap so I can stay awake all night.

I think we're about to see some tornado warnings in NW MS in the next 20 - 45 min... This is just now cooking.

IT TAKES ME ABOUT 10 MINUTES TO GET TO SAFETY (MOBILE HOME) DO YOU THINK I WILL KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON IN TIME?

HEY A.J.; havent heard from you in a while. I think you will have PLENTY of time. Just be on the lookout. Seems like its gonna be a wild night. Keeping my eye on the sky here in T-Town.

have they changed the moderate risk of severe weather to a slight risk area? when i go to noaa.com and click on day one outlook it says a slight risk? Maybe i am clicking on the wrong day i dunno!

Dawn, yes the SPC took out the Moderate Risk on their latest update.

Thanks Mike i thought so i wasnt sure though. Hopefully this is a good sign that they are not as strong as once thought. I will be praying that they weaken with time and keep it tuned to 3340 for the latest on the storms!

I've been tracking the closest line of storms that had first developed in Central Arkansas. These storms are now situated just south of Memphis and down paralleling the Mississippi River. They have really exploded in the past hour. I expect our first Alabama warning to come sometime just after 11pm.

YEAH, CHASE I'LL STILL HERE. STILL WANDERING WHAT I AM GOING TO DO. LIKE I SAID TIME AND TIME AGAIN STORMS ECSPECIALY THE ONE AT NIGHT FREAK ME OUT. I GUESS I'LL DECIDE AFTER I WATCH JAMES AT 10:00.
