Tornado Warning for Walker Countu expired at 3:30 and was not extended.

Tornado Warning for Pickens County in West Central Alabama until 4:15 am. The suspected tornado was near Pickensville...in the extreme west edge of the county moving eastward. If this storm does not weaken, a tornado warning may be needed for Tuscaloosa County later.

New storms forming out ahead of the main line across Jefferson County.

Tornado Watch continues until 10 am

Have been doing wall-to-wall radio coverage with the Walker County Tornado Warning...so I may get behind at times with the blog.

We have a local thunderstorm..loud thunder, lightning, but it's not severe.

Lightning...wow! Last time I saw lightning like this morning was when the tornado hit Carbon Hill a few years ago.

Are Ragland and Ashville in NE St. Clair County? Tornado warning is for NE St Clair County according to NWS Radio Alert. Significant Weather Alert for Etowah County. Isn't that just short of a severe thunderstorm warning?

If I remember correctly..I forecasted: 1 severe tstorm warning for lamar..then weakening band of thunderstorms moving thru central alabama with winds about 30mph

Yeah, don't EVER LISTEN TO ANYTHING I SAY.

This is looking bad..and I live in Cottondale

I'm in Shelby county tonight...but I wonder how my property is.

Just got a weather alert again. They say Tornado warning is close to Ragland and also 12 miles south of Rainbow City. Hmmm... this can't be the same storm????? I do live along the northern edge of RBC on the Gadsden/RBC line. But Ragland I didn't think was that close to RBC. I need a map that isn't online.

Oh, I'm thankful that the tornado track is missing Etowah County, but also staying clear of Anniston which is where my son lives. It's headed toward Piedmont and Jacksonville. My daughter and later my son lived in Jaxvle. They have siren with a speaker that goes all around the dorms during storm warnings. Plus, many of the dorms have basements.

Tyler, storms went through Northern Etowah County, but nothing severe...we had a special weather alert, which is just under a severe thunderstorm warning. It's all past us now.

I live in the Black Creek area of northeast Etowah County. We had winds estimated to 60 mph for a good five minutes when the line came through. I saw lots of small limbs down but no major damage anywhere I looked.
