A FEW 10:15 AM NOTES

Moderate showers now underway over parts of NE Alabama. They are not numerous and are clustered mainly over St. Clair and Etowah County.

Lightning detection indicates several lightning strikes.

Movement is toward the NNE.

It's dark to the East and ESE from where I am located in NE TRussville. Raining not too far away.

Ok now, I am relying on you guys. I rode the motorcycle to work today. It can sprinkle all it wants up until about 2 o'clock, then I want you to stop them.

Here in Tuscaloosa, there is not a cloud in the sky. I was just thinking how overall this Spring is one of the nicer Spring's I've seen. Especially temperature wise. Lately it seems we have jumped from late Winter to early Summer. Last Summer was very comfortable. But beware the heat and humidity will come with avengance

so much for a few sprinkles...it looks like the great flood here in north gadsden. i live up on the ridge above noccalula falls. i wish i could tell you how much rain...but i cut grass yesterday and moved my rain gauge. i would easily guess 2 inches. it's been raining hard and nonstop for over 2 hours.

There is the occasional rumble of thunder in the distance. Barely a slight breeze. The road I live on is just off of Scenic Highway. We have a steady river flowing through our yard and down the mountain. The rain has started to taper off finally. I'm headed down to attalla for some errands...will report on any flooding this afternoon. i bet noccalula is roaring though.
