The Tuesday morning web video is on the server:

We are finally beginning to see some good opportunities for beneficial rain across Alabama during the next 15 days...
Dry weather will continue today and tomorrow with a warming trend; we are forecasting highs in the low 80s today and mid 80s tomorrow. I still think most of the day Thursday will be dry, but a few scattered showers or storms could show up by mid to late afternoon as moisture returns and a surface front approaches from the northwest.
A strong upper wave will drop right down the Mississippi River, from near Minneapolis to Memphis in the Thursday/Friday time frame, which should mean scattered to numerous showers and storms here by Friday. We could very well see some nice rain totals, exceeding one inch in many spots. The disturbance keeps moving southward to near New Orleans on Saturday, so the beginning of the weekend looks rather wet as well. We will probably have to hit the opportunity for rain on Saturday harder on the afternoon update later today. Then, on Sunday, the upper wave drifts into the northwest Gulf and weakens, and I still have the forecast rain-free. Enough moisture will stay in place most likely for a few widely scattered showers, but I don't think it will be a big deal.
I know the Bruno's Memorial Classic is this weekend, and rain will indeed be an issue on Friday and Saturday, but hopefully Sunday will work out to be a nice day. The good news is that hot weather won't be an issue this year.
THE LONG RANGE: The GFS moves another cold front through around Tuesday May 24 with another good round of showers and storms. And, out toward the end of the month the models are suggesting a cold front stalling out over the deep south with another opportunity for wet weather.
Headed out to South Shades Crest Elementary this morning for a weather program... which is the last one for the 2004-2005 school year. Time really flies... but as always teaching kids about weather is one of the favorite parts of my day. I have seen thousands of Alabama school children this year, and I already have a big schedule coming up for 2005-2006!
