EARLY EVENING UPDATE

Widely scattered showers and thunderstorms in progress early this evening but nothing widespread as of 7 pm.

At 7 o'clock, thunderstorms were over East Cullman County and at Heflin near the Georgia border. Moving ESE with a decent amount of lightning.

Showers over NW Alabama now weaker.

By far, the main action is north of Alabama across Tennessee and Kentucky and across the Ohio Valley where Severe Thunderstorm Watches are posted, Even a couple of Tornado Warnings in North Kentucky.

I was wondering how bad do you think the storms will be tonight and tomorrow. Kentucky is really getting pounded by severe weather according to the weather channel. Do you think we may have some tornadoes tomorrow? I sure hope not! Please let me know if i need to stay close to a weather source tomorrow. I have plans and if its gonna be bad i am gonna cancel them. Thank you!

June...
Would not do anything until tomorrow morning. Doubt if we go under a Tornado Watch tomorrow...possibly a Severe Thunderstorm Watch but that is not certain.
