Thunderstorms Decreasing in Strength

A large area of rain will be moving across Central Alabama late this afternoon and thie evening. However, the line of thunderstorms will be moving into rain-cooled air and will likely not be severe.

The stronger thunderstorms are further south...approaching the Montgomery area.

Lots of rain still ahead for places like Tuscaloosa, Birmingham, Anniston.

Justin...
I used to have a digital thermometer but no more. Our min temperatures on clear, still nights were almost identical to Pinson...sometimes even a degree or so lower.

Only thing I have now is the big old fashioned copper rain gage, 8 inches in diameter that can measure 20 inches of rain. For many years, it was the final word for official measurements with the NWS.

Thanks for your reports today.
